Content Rules
Updated over 3 months ago

Updated Sep. 6th, 2024

After many of you have expressed concerns regarding NSFW content regulations. To ensure transparency and a positive experience for all users on PixAI, we have updated and optimized the rules governing NSFW content on our website. Please note that the restrictions around NSFW content imposed by various parties have become increasingly strict, leaving us with limited options for regulation. We must implement these changes to create a community that is more accommodating for users of different ages and needs. Thank you for your understanding and continued support. The specific updates are as follows:

New Rating System:

We have introduced a new rating system that categorizes content into the following groups:

  • Normal Content: Suitable for viewing by users of all ages.

  • Flagged Content (New Category):

    • Contains content that is not suitable for minors, such as overly revealing clothing (e.g., bikinis).

    • Contains sexual elements mentioned in titles or descriptions.

    • Users must log in and confirm they are over 18 to view this type of content.

  • Sensitive Content: Contains explicit sexual acts and is clearly not suitable for most viewers. This type of content is only visible to the creator.

AI Moderator Review Process:

Currently, content rating is primarily conducted through the AI moderator's review. However, we understand that this system is not infallible and may lead to misclassifications. If you believe your content has been incorrectly labeled, please submit an appeal through the menu in the upper right corner. Our human moderators will re-evaluate it within 7 working days. Once again, we sincerely appreciate your support and patience as we navigate these regulations. Your understanding during this process is invaluable to us, and it helps us create a safer and more welcoming community for everyone.

Generation of realistic images on the PixAI website is restricted.

  • This means that if you use a realistic model with your task, you will not be able to submit a prompt containing sensitive tags.

  • If you are submitting realistic explicit images to publish on PixAI. Such content will be removed.

  • For current content moderation rules on the website, please consult the info below.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you encounter such situations, please feel free to provide feedback; your input will help us continuously improve our moderation model.

Users are encouraged to contact the moderation team on our Discord server with questions or concerns before posting, and are also welcome to provide other feedback or suggest changes to the content guidelines to PixAI at any time.

Content Moderation Rules for PixAI apps

The guidelines for sensitive and flagged content on the PixAI app are largely consistent with those on the PixAI web platform. Except:

  • Visibility: The visibility of all sensitive and flagged content is restricted within our apps. Such content is only visible to the creator himself.

We are very sorry that this is happening. As some of you may know, our apps have previously been removed from app stores. Please understand that our options for sensitive content on mobile apps are very limited.

FAQ

1. What is the difference between sensitive content & flagged content?

  • Sensitive content refers to those containing explicit sexual implications, such as nudity or overtly sexual imagery, as mentioned in the examples above.

  • Flagged content includes images or texts with milder sexual implications that may not be as explicit but still raise concerns.

2. I got a notification that my artwork was approved. Why is it not showing up for me or other people?

  • If you received notification that your artwork was approved, this means that our moderators have reviewed the current content labels on your artwork and made manual adjustments when necessary. However, your artwork may still be marked as sensitive, which limits its visibility to users across the platform. This can occur if it inadvertently violates our content rules and regulations.

3. My model cover is replaced with an image labeled 'Cover Removed', what does this mean?

We do not allow sensitive cover images for any published model or LoRA. If your model cover image contains sensitive content, please replace it directly in 'Edit Model'.

  • Our AI moderator determined your cover image as sensitive and your image has been removed. If you believe the AI moderator has made an error, you can use the 'Appeal' option on the model detail page to request a review by a human moderator.

4. Is there a way to change the sensitivity label on my artwork?

  • While your artwork is pending review, its sensitivity is subject to change.

  • Our moderation staff reserve the right to determine the content label for any work at their discretion. Once a human moderator has reviewed the content labels on your artwork, that decision is final and cannot be appealed. However, you are welcome to suggest overall changes to the content guidelines to PixAI through our direct support channels.

5. How does the moderation team determine if content violates guidelines?

  • The moderation team evaluates content based on our established guidelines, considering factors such as context, imagery, and overall intent. Their decisions are made with the community's safety and standards in mind.

6. Are there any consequences for repeated violations of content guidelines?

  • In most cases, creating and publishing sensitive content will not result in penalties such as account suspension or termination. Our content guidelines are designed to ensure appropriate categorization for those who expect a safe browsing experience. However, if your work involves minor pornography, serious action will be taken.
