Notice: PixAI Apps will restrict all sensitive content, including generation

Hello PixAI users,

This is very disheartening news for us to announce: From now on, the Apps will restrict generation and visibility of all sensitive content.

  • This means that on the Apps, an AI filter will block your generation if it contains suggestive, mature, sexual, explicit, or otherwise objectionable prompts.

  • On the App, you will not be able to view any sensitive content that has been published on the web page.

  • We are very sorry that this is happening. Some of you are aware that our Apps have already been taken down from the App stores. Please understand that we have very limited options in regards to content on the mobile Apps at this point.

  • the AI filter makes errors, so please let us know if it is making unreasonable judgement on your prompt. We will need to investigate your full prompt to pin-point exactly what went wrong, so please send us the info if you feel comfortable doing so.

Generation of realistic images on the PixAI website is restricted.

  • This means that if you use a realistic model with your task, you will not be able to submit a prompt containing sensitive tags.

  • If you are submitting realistic explicit images to publish on PixAI. Such content will be removed.

  • For current content moderation rules on the website, please consult the info below.

1. Publishing Sensitive Artwork

We rely on AI moderators to detect sensitive artwork, comics, albums, and animated images. Users do not have to self-report the sensitivity of their content before publishing them.

  • Review period for artwork: If the AI moderator flagged your artwork as sensitive, it will be forwarded to our human staff to screen for potentially problematic content. Once your artwork is approved, it will be successfully published. Depending on the sensitivity of your content, it may have Limited Visibility across the platform.

  • Artwork labeled 'Content Rules violation': For a portion of artwork published on the platform, the AI moderator may detect Content Rule violations outright. Such content will be removed directly. If you believe the AI has made a mistake, you can use the 'appeal' option on the artwork detail page to request human review.

2. Limited Visibility for Sensitive artwork

Artwork, comics, albums, and animated images that are marked as sensitive will have limited visibility across the platform.

  • App: Sensitive artwork is not visible to users on the PixAI App.

  • Main feed and contests: Sensitive artwork is excluded from the main feed on the PixAI website and will not be displayed on the site-wide contest feeds.

  • Sensitivity toggle: For website users with the toggle "Show Sensitive Content" turned off, Sensitive artwork will not be visible on any part of the site (including individuals' profile page, artwork detail page, search results, or any of the content feeds).

3. Publishing Sensitive Model/LoRA Cover Images

We do not allow sensitive cover images for any published model or LoRA. If your model cover image contains sensitive themes, please replace it directly in 'edit model'.

  • Review period for model covers: When your model cover image is labeled as 'Cover Under Review', this means that our AI moderator has flagged your image as potentially sensitive and forwarded it for our human staff to double check. If our moderators decide that your model cover is compliant to our rules, it will become visible to all users.

  • Model cover image removed: Our AI moderator determined your cover image as sensitive and your image has been removed. If you believe that the AI has made a mistake, please use the 'Appeal' option on your model's detail page to send a request for human review.

  • If your cover image is under review or removed, users can still search for the model by name and use it for generations.
